Apparently there are no mechanics left, just technicians now, so nothing can be repaired, only replaced.
Repairing a simple manual transmission is a lost art and rebuilding one properly must be black magic.
Pathetic.
So I guess I'm repairing a transmission and resealing a transfer case for someone due to my curse of moderate competence.
