I agree, in part.
The government in a democracy, republic, parliamentary system, etc, is for the people, by the people.
We should act, build, assemble, and move as if we hold them accountable to us, the people.
Pertaining to attacks on bitcoin, privacy, and self-custody, we give the government too much power when we jump to the conclusion that everything we do is civil disobedience or must be done in hiding. No, we must protect and fight for these rights to live our values and core tenants in a democracy out loud. At the same time, we must prepare that governments do overstep and do create enforcement action that is illegal and/or immoral.
It’s a tricky, delicate balance. But I’m not ready to throw the towel in yet and have these regulators and enforcement agencies think they can rule in this way, in the United States of America of all places. We’ll let our voices be known to our representatives and through our legal system, then go from there.

quoting note1d5w…mlxeThe government is not your enemy, but it's also not your friend.
It's a frenemy. Act accordingly.
