BTW that story, in the Washington Post, is an absolutely classic example of how journalists routinely quote obvious lies (normally from Republicans) to show "balance" in political coverage.
In this case, the lies are blatant. But that doesn't make it right to publish them without saying, explicitly, that they are lies.
Big Journalism never, ever learns from its mistakes.
