Ipoh is known not only for Ian Miles Cheong, but also its many cave temples. This one (Perak Kwan Yin Tong) is very close to my wife’s childhood home & hosts an annual Chap Goh Mei festival on the 15th day of the lunar new year (also called “Chinese Valentine’s Day” when single women toss mandarin oranges with their contact details into a river, hoping that single men will find them)
(I just hope that Ian Miles Cheong didn’t go there and pick up someone’s orange 🙃)
