Tired of headlines "on the brink of...", "approaching a tipping point...", "may soon be too late..." etc. FFS, we have now known for decades that by all sensible metrics we are already way beyond where we should never have put ourselves in 1st place, & are doomed to experience a goddam awful lot of unpleasant consequences. so what does this kind of discourse serve exactly? Frighten people? This only shuts them off even more. Provoke political action? Not going to happen at this terminal stage.
