Today I returned two extremely niche books to the academic library where I work. I now have to wait for them to physically traverse to their home institutions and be checked in, upon which moment I will put them on hold again and have them shipped back.
I need them for about six more weeks and then never again, so I won't ask my institution to purchase them. I will, however, complain that I could only keep them for 90 ish days.
