day 1 of teaching a practical analog video art class online was a success. i used OBS to switch between different layouts with multiple cameras so people could see me and what i was doing, and then piped that via virtual camera into big blue button, our self-hosted video conferencing software.
it's not the same as teaching a workshop in person, but then, i wouldn't be able to do that with people on multiple coasts and continents at the same time, so... :)
