Do anyone have any good resources for first time cat owners/servants getting started with the basics? (Books, Videos, Websites etc. all valid options)

I'm especially thinking about the practical considerations for what equipment to get, and pro/cons of different equipment etc.

The last time I started looking many of the web search results were from companies selling something, so I don't really trust them to have unbiased opinions...
