I get the potential benefits, especially once all bitcoins are mined or during low transaction periods. But I'm specifically thinking about someone who deliberately wants to bring down the network. Does it open up new attack vectors that didn't previously exist? If size is now an arbitrary thing, then it's just a matter of exploiting that to the attacker's benefit.
