Purism offers privacy focused Linux laptops, Linux phones and other devices that are "designed chip-by-chip, line-by-line, to respect your rights to privacy, security, and freedom."
Purism is out of the USA, headquartered in San Francisco.
They offer the Made in USA cell phone, which is their Liberty Linux phone.

Last July, Purism [announced it's latest Linux phone](https://social.librem.one/@purism/110664115337910176), the [Liberty Phone](https://shop.puri.sm/shop/liberty-phone/), which is a slight upgrade to the [Librem 5 phone](https://puri.sm/products/librem-5/).
It comes with
- 4 Gig RAM instead of 3 Gig
- 128 Gig Storage instead of 32 Gig
- All other specs are basically the same as the Librem 5
With the specs of a medium range smartphone from 10 years ago, and a price of $2,000, you may want to hold off. But if you really want the true private and secure experience that only Linux phones can offer, it doesn't get much better than the Liberty Linux Phone.
Development on other Linux phones, with better hardware and lower prices, is still charging onward, so you may want to hold off on this one.

There has been [talk of Purism tablets for years](https://www.notebookcheck.net/Purism-intros-Librem-10-and-Librem-11-Linux-tablets.165835.0.html), and recently it finally became a reality.

# Purism - LapDock Kit (NexDock 360)
Purism offers a ["LapDock Kit"](https://shop.puri.sm/shop/lapdock-kit) that consists of the NexDock 360 and a magnetic mount for a smartphone. This setup turns your Linux phone into a small 2nd monitor.
The NexDock 360 and NexDock Wireless have no CPU, no memory and no operating system. What is does is turn your Linux smartphone into a laptop or tablet. This is known as "Convergence".
