Rasterman (nprofile…paqn) this is correct and i believe i have discovered why pineapple "pizza" is not a pizza. the tomatos and the pineapple clash against the palate. it doesnt help that both of them are acidic. this isn't to say that sweet and savory don't pair. honey glaze is a popular way to prepare meats, yet tomatos are also a savory food but they do not accompany the sweetness of pineapples agreeably.
is it just the acidity, or is there something else about the tomato that causes upset when paired with pineapple?? i require more time to investigate.
