I think I'm burning out. Seriously.

I've been up since 4am, thinking about photography and what I've been doing... or more precisely, NOT doing. I look at other photographers and it's obvious: the best of the best have a style. They don't just take good pictures, they make art, with mood and shadows and glare and softness and splotches of color and tiny glimpses of their surroundings.

I'm tired of spinning the roulette wheel and having a million different styles where nothing fits together. I'm tired of shooting blue skies and animals at the zoo. I live in a city. I want to photograph it like Gotham. Fewer colors. Darker. Broody. Weird and blurry and filtered.

So at 6am I started deleting photos I didn't like and then I broke Mastodon. It won't let me delete more than 20 pics today. So I calmed down and posted a picture of a cat because everyone loves cats.

Add: I can't change things I've already taken and still want to share, but I'm going to try something new over the next few months.
