I'm not sure about other DJs, but every time I play a venue, especially if it's a venue I've played before, I try to do a 60-40 split of old tunes to new tunes. I have enough music to where I can pretty much pull most of a set or an entire set from my collection Depending on the vibe and the time that I'm playing and the genre.. But I try to find 40% of music that is new to me, if not more Depending on how often I've played a certain venue.

And of course this isn't a hard set rule, but I do genuinely like to have new music paired with tried and true bangers that I enjoy playing, and I know go off.
