#StandingStoneSunday
The Long Stone on Shoveldon on Dartmoor, seen here with Kestor in the background. At 3.1 metres, it is the 4th tallest on Dartmoor and is part of a large series of prehistoric features, including several stone rows. It stands about 1 mile north of Fernworthy stone circle, and slightly further south of Scorhill stone circle.
It has been used as a boundary marker, and "GP" (Gidleigh Parish) and "DC" (Duchy of Cornwall) can be seen carved into its faces.
