Two nights in a row now I have stepped outside upon waking, while my eyes are still adjusted to the dark, and looked up at a sky full of stars. The Milky Way above, just becoming visible where we are. Satellites floating among the pinpricks of light.
Only after refreshing my heart do I walk back inside, turn on the lights, and get my coffee. Settle down to catch up on news, do some writing.
