This perspective highlights the fragility of value when it’s defined solely by current economic standards or fiat currency. Just as the labor behind the pyramids is now abstracted into history, so too could the value of our present-day work be diminished or lost under a system that endlessly prints money. True value, then, seems to lie not in the currency used to measure it but in the enduring, meaningful impact of the work itself.
