#asknostr Can someone please explain to me KYC again. I’m still not understanding how this works.
If I buy from an exchange and I provide them all of my personal information via a Government ID, those are then considered “KYC-ed BTC”. Okay I get that.
But if some on Nostr zaps me BTC that is considered “non-KYC” BTC, Right?
So if I have all that straight, then why can’t I just make a new wallet and zap myself? Or Zap my sister in another city to have her zap it all right back to my new wallet.
How will the government know the difference between a zap from a stranger and a zap to myself? Why do we need to mixers or coin-joiners at all?
I need a dumbed down explanation on how on-chain analysis works. BitcoinUniversity (npub1s33…252p)
