Connected wallets tend to use the fact they are connected to do other things and complicate security. AirGapped wallets don't have much hope to do anything else than the payment itself. It forces them to focus and that focus gives me a piece of mind.
Ideally, I want a wallet that has no possibility of connection. A simple signer without any major features like multisig. I don't want the hardware having any more processing than whats necessary for that. And I don't want the manufacturer to have the hope of adding more stuff.
