30+ years ago I moved to Mass and experienced my first Town Meeting. I called it democracy in the raw. Couldn’t believe it.
30 years later, I’ve worked on warrant articles that were passed, like you opposed conversion of elected positions to appointed, and I now describe myself as a progressive democrat. Yowza! How things can change!
