So apparently Craig Alanson has decided to put out another 3 #ExpeditionaryForce novels, only a year or so after the 15th and "final" novel came out. By all indications it's not a "new story in the same universe" sort of deal, but a direct sequel to the (former) finale.
I'm torn tbh. I read all 15, buying the new books as soon as they came out once I had found the series (around book 9, I think). I really enjoyed them at first, but the final few books were such a let down that - similar to Game of Thrones - it retroactively killed my enjoyment of the previous books.
I'm entirely positive that the sudden extension of the series is due to the overwhelmingly negative feedback of book 15. IT's a noble notion, especially since this is by far his most popular series, and I'm sure it crushed him to see such a negative reception for what could have been his magnum opus, but frankly as a fan I think it's a bad idea.
