Reading any of the bible stories as anything other than as an esoteric initiatory allegory is just plain wrong. It happens over and over again:
1. Divine origin
2. Descent and Fall
4. Atonement
5. Death
6. Rebirth
7. Return to the origin
Every story in the bible, from Adam & Eve to the flood to Exodus to the Gospels, follows this format. Now compare that structure to the Elusinian Mysteries and the Orphic Mysteries, and you begin to see their intended purpose.
