I had an "awesome to me" reply to this and I lost it. It happens!
Please take this note into good consideration.
The feed is a characteristic of every social media. However it is designed or with which intention, the result of its use has resulted in a very atrophied communicating skill. It has dumbed down our language. It has devalued real engagement. It has turned many of us into zombies who are desperate for their extremely short- lived dopamine hits.
Engage in conversation.
Interact with one another investing effort.
Challenge yourself to visit individual #nostriches pages to see content your feed's algorithm decided NOT to show you.
If a feed's note introduced you to a new #nostrich (or one you'd forgotten about), remind yourself to follow them. Remind them to follow you if you had an exchange you'd like to explore again.
I just saw a note that said #nostr is a new internet. It is in a lot of ways.
Try your best to think of what YOU DON'T LIKE ABOUT NORMIE SOCIAL MEDIA, then imagine: what could I do differently to how I and others use Cuckbook, Idiotgram, Dick-tock, Twatter and the like???
Because #Nostr is not only a new protocol or platform. Nostr is A REBIRTH, a complete do-over of how we can "internet orselves" better. Not only better, but in a way that doesn't only allow us to re-invent ourselves, but to re-invent the almost impossible concept of what SOCIETY AND HUMAN INTERACTION could be!
This is not dreams of grandeur.
I've survived hell and back multitude of times. If this tired, sometimes utterly depleted middle-aged grandmother who still lives paycheck to paycheck can afford the time and energy to try her best to CONTRIBUTE to this new and BETTER INTERNET, anyone else has no excuse.
Now, GFY cuz I feel the need to remain on my high horse for a little while....
I've been hit quite hard recently and I need the boost that comes from pretending I can still teach something to someone.
