Oh, I forgot to add: I have a laptop as well, and the same strategy applies to *that*, and it's synced from the desktop. And I keep an obsolete-but-still-works older laptop for emergencies. And copies of my live work on my phone and tablet(s) and pretty much every computer in my office except the Spectrum.
