I wanna ask all the #trans people in the Fediverse: what is the biggest misconception about being trans that kept you from realizing you're trans?

The biggest misconception I personally experienced was that it was impossibly expensive to transition. I put off hormones for nearly ten years because I thought I could never afford to do it. Even without insurance, it's much less expensive than I thought.
