🍁🥞メイプル🧇🐯 (nprofile…kq2m) a lot of practices I don't like are from hadiths NGL. That's why I like hadith-critical Quran-centric authors like Esack. "Hadiths should be evaluated on basis of Quran" and Barlas who condemned "Hadiths trumping Quran instead of centering Quran in our faith." Both of them don't reject hadiths outright tho. They are a part of a wider progressive trend that accepts hadiths that align with "reason, morality and Quranic values." Quranists on the other hand rejects all hadiths outright. I don't like conservative Quranists because they are bigots who don't have any commitment to comprehensive justice and instead are like Islamists with their Qur'anic literalism who justify oppression. I like Progressive Quranists tho? But I didn't find any good books by them. Like Edip Yüksel's translation of Quran is a thing but he's not a radical by any means more of a liberal he is even a capitalist (a Chief Innovation Officer) I just learned that. Also he is homophobic in that book and probably more because I abandoned reading it.
