The primary issue I have with the Stephen’s Green Centre demolishment is that the shops on the top floor currently have such little footfall that exceedingly niche and odd shops can afford to live there, moments from Grafton Street. If you need to buy a chess set made of bamboo or a really long legged trouser, you will make the trip in the lift.
This is the very thing the landlords hate.
