They are starting to get to the nitty gritty of rebuilding interior and exterior walls of our earthquake damaged house. I used to joke when people called our house a "villa" that it was more like 18th century HUD housing. Seeing what was behind the plaster made me appreciate how right I was. Let us just say that when the church built housing for the contadini, they didn't always use the best building methods. It's giant pain, but I'm glad we're finally correcting the sins of the past. #Umbria
