Ridgefield NWR: After the auto tour, we walked the trails that are open during the winter and spring. More amazement at every turn: an eagle high above the trail, a Hooded Merganser exploring the edges of a pond, a beautiful Towhee. Among the many noisy Steller's Jays, this one was mimicking a Red-Tail Hawk -- it even fooled the Merlin app!
