I'm not entirely sure about the wind being spirit being 100 percent the position in the Bible. I'm not sure how big they are, but there's other people who delink wind and spirit in the Bible, an example being St. Ephrem in his Genesis commentary, where he talks about various senses in which ruha (the Syriac word for both wind and spirit) is used in the scriptures. It should be page 79 in the attached pdf if you want to check it out. (side note but Mr. Grips, I'm sorry if this website gets taken down because I posted too many pirated pdfs)
It feels like the majority equates spirit with wind. Like I remember it being in St. Basil somewhere. which leads me to wonder if its a quirk of Greek vs Syriac influenced tradition, since Ephrem was Syriac and was influenced by earlier Nisibine Jewish traditions in commentating, while Basil's commentarial tradition was from Origen's tradition.
I am curious - could you elaborate on wind and Spirit in Eucharistic theology?
