Petitioning rarely helps. Protests rarely help. Rioting rarely helps. Voting rarely helps... It's a slippery slope, innit? The reality is few are prepared to shed a drop of sweat to help anyone else.
We're more like Seinfeld characters than Ted Lasso characters, as a civilization. Maybe that's what civilizing does to a person. It makes us less inclined to stand in the way of injustice, maybe by culling those willing to do so.
