Question for the backend developers out there. I have a web backend application that runs migrations on startup. I have multiple instances of this application (in different regions). How do you do blue/green deployments in this case?

The problem here is that older versions of the application won't know about the new migration versions that are stored in the database `schema_version` table and will raise errors.

One solution would be to not run migrations on startup. Something else?
