shinies obtained via events are not real shinies. they do not possess the same immediate reaction or mystique; they have big "oh..." energy. they are dime-a-dozen. the most unique shinies are the ones that just pop up without grinding and without number manipulation a la masuda method or outbreak farming or whatever. back in my day ( ) shinies used to be special.
