I'm at the end of the game in Lies of P with my pointless self restrictions going and have got a decision point. If I have never died nor have I ever been afflicted with a status ailment all game thanks to save scumming but I need to use a key item that will inflict decay instantly. I could wait to use it until after the final boss when I can unlock a special accessory that will make me immune to decay but then I have to inefficiently skip the door it's for and go back to it later, also means I have to take that accessory instead of the weapon (can only choose one) which I wanted to save for NG+. I'm not sure what I'm going to do but I'm sure this sounds completely insane and retarded and it is.
