"content": "We’re going to start this afternoon session with David Grant on identifying clouds. Mostly in the case of WASP-17 b. Combining data and model, they find evidence for clouds made of SiO2. So let’s starts from the start. What goes into this model? \n\nWe’ve got some molecules and sodium and potassium and now we add in some clouds, hazes and scattering to build a model. Some specific clouds (remember Hannah’s talk?!) only affect certain parts of the spectrum. There we go. 🤓 #exoplanets5\nhttps://cdn.masto.host/astrodonsocial/media_attachments/files/112/631/738/025/965/301/original/126464f2334ea8d2.png\nhttps://cdn.masto.host/astrodonsocial/media_attachments/files/112/631/744/138/159/862/original/9a2c6a9e1fd4cf53.png\n",
