I agree about discoverability, but Nostr is bitcoin heavy. The only people I speak to in real life who are on Nostr are coiners. None of my F(L)OSS or gaming friends are on here. They are on Fediverse platforms but they associate Nostr with Bitcoin and have no interest in carving out a new space when Fedi-stuff suits them fine.
Maybe that will change as the network grows, but that's been my experience so far.
