On a slightly different note: I've found some discussion of the land transportation challenges that will be posed when the Yaquina Bay Bridge collapses in The Big One (which it WILL do; it's unreinforced and a century old). But I can find no acknowledgement or plan for the fact that the collapsed bridge will completely block the narrow channel leading to one of only three deepwater ports on the Oregon Coast. When all the roads are disrupted, the coast will NEED functional ports!

This is the kind of thing that keeps me awake at night what I'm bored of having insomnia over politics.
