Had a discussion yesterday about the extraction of rare-earth elements (REEs). My interlocutors insisted that we must leave them to the ground.

I wish I could agree with them, but the issue with #REEs is that, due to their unique properties, are crucial for developing clean technologies.

Renewable energy solutions and electrifying transportation depend on REEs, thus supporting efforts to mitigate #climatechange and reduce reliance on #fossilfuels
