I also suffer a degree of overload and they've been brilliant for it. There's an app you can use to adjust EQ and different levels of cancellation but I just have it all maxed out, they're pretty good at trading the edge off things even with nothing playing (but obviously you want some music) I'm always appalled when I take them off to listen for announcements etc at the racket around me
