but a hollow night

their morals are a joke
a sickening grin
they grasp and grab
with a rapacious din
the most corrupt
the most vile and cold
a gang that's been around
since the dawn of old

but there's a new breed
of rebels on the rise
cryptoanarchists
with a digital guise
they're coding and hacking
with a #freedom cry
taking down the state
with a decentralised sigh

they're the ghosts in the machine
the phantoms in the night
using #crypto and #code
to bring the state to flight
they're the outlaws of the net
the renegades of the land
and they're coming for the state
with a rebellious hand
