I’ve only ever seen my wife a handful of times with makeup on. I prefer her with her messy bun and old San Jose Sharks t-shirt, hollering across the house at a kid with her face unobstructed by anything. I used to think I’d like her dolled up all the time, but the odd time she would do it, I’d realize I missed her natural look. Go for it if it makes you feel good, but don’t feel the need to apologize for not adding coke to a good whiskey either.
